Along with preparing for the Summer Swim Program, Hearts for Youth is also busy planning its 2nd Annual Coaching/Volunteer Training Program through SUNY Youth Sports Institute. The program which will take place in March, is a nine-module, three-hour course and comprehensive lecture that is written to address key youth development issues. Participants will receive the SUNY pamphlet, “Parent’s Guide to Youth Sports” once all coaches are certified. This year, a CPR course will be added after the training session which will allow participants to receive State of NY (SUNY) Level 2 Certification and Insurance.
